Where is it located?

It is found in the heart muscles of humans. The infection is said to derive from infected dogs or other hosts.

 

Methods of transmission

Its methods of transmission os said to be either in water or through direct exposure. Humans are usually the intermediate host, not the final host (https://www.medilexicon.com/medicaldictionary.php?t=79653)

Most of the infections are asymptomatic and humans are infected as accident after consuming the meat of the infected pigs.

In rare cases, the myocardium is infected, however that is very rare. There is also no known cure for the muscle infection till now.
